The Rivers Church is part of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, also known as The Foursquare Church. We are a worldwide family of churches committed to sharing the good news that Jesus is the Savior, the Healer, the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, and the soon coming King.
The Foursquare Church began in Los Angeles, California in 1923. Since our founding days, our vision has been realized through sharing the reality of God’s love and salvation with everyone everywhere; and by establishing local congregations in the United States and around the world. As of 2016, the number of people in the Foursquare Church worldwide is 8,944,677. We gather together to worship and celebrate in 76,074 churches and meeting places in 149 countries. Currently, there are 99,204 credentialed Foursquare ministers.
