Rivers bring life. Always flowing and changing, they are refreshing and inspiring.
Located at the confluence of the Feather and Yuba Rivers, Yuba City and Marysville are communities that are shaped by rivers.
From Genesis to Revelation Rivers are also a significant theme in the Bible.
We are called The Rivers because we want to be used by God to bring life and refreshing to others.
This is best described in the following three passages from the Bible:
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! I am making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people.

They are strong, like a tree planted by a river. The tree produces fruit in season, and its leaves don't die. Everything they do will succeed.
